DEPARTMENT: Digital Marketing

REPORTS TO: VP of Digital Marketing 

FLSA: Exempt 


Reporting to the VP of Digital Marketing, the Senior Art Director translates the SMC brands and strategy into compelling creative marketing across all channels - from digital campaigns to look books. The ideal candidate will strike the perfect balance between conceptual and tactical. S/he is a digital native with a passion for how technology is influencing consumer behaviors, and has a serious foundation in graphic design and typography. 


• Lead all creative development including seasonal campaigns, eComm assets, social content, market look books, 

logo development, collateral 

• Collaborate with marketing team to develop seasonal initiatives that drive brand relevancy and support business 


• As part of a cross functional team, plan and execute monthly digital content calendar 

• Concept and art direct all photo shoots 

• Select photographers, stylist, models 

• Establish and steward impeccable global brand standards across all consumer touch points 

• Ensure that all work adheres to brand guidelines and transform the brand aesthetic to digital platforms, with emphasis 

on mobile 

• Support development of digital style guidelines for regional and brand partners 

• Mentor Jr. Digital Designer 

• Contribute to spirit of innovation by leading creative solutions and applying new ideas, new technologies and 

digital trends 


• Resume and link to portfolio are required. Portfolios should include multiple examples of past work in a variety of different 

areas, including print as well as digital concepts (print media, outdoor, packaging, site content, emails, banner ads, etc.) 

• Expertise developing results-driven solutions in eCommerce, web design, display advertising, and email marketing 

• Strong understanding of responsive design and UX/UI best practices 

• Eye for elegant, user-centric digital experiences 

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects/deadlines and adapt as-needed 

• Team-oriented, collaborative and able to receive and manage feedback well 

• Expert in HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite 

• Strong post-production knowledge, including color correction and retouching processes 

• Love fashion photography, and curiosity for emerging creative talent (photographers, stylists, etc.)


• BA in Graphic Design or similar discipline 

• At least 5-10 years’ relevant experience within fashion, eCommerce/retail or agency 

• Footwear experience is a plus 


• The ability to lift 10 lbs. occasionally 

• The ability to be in a stationary position at a computer for periods of time 

• The ability to move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, computer, printers, etc. 

• The ability to constantly operate and activate computer 

• The ability to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself to exchange information
